KAMO RIVER, KYOTO JAPAN #OOTD | STEPHANIE SO

It's been 4 months and I still can't get over what a beautiful place Kyoto is. I haven't travelled to a lot of places yet, but I can confidently say that it is one of the most culturally rich cities I have visited and I would definitely return one day. Perhaps this delay of posts is making me reminisce it all over again. Not entirely a bad thing I'd say. (If you're wondering I slept overnight with plaits on hence the super curly hair.)

Thanks for reading guys!

KYOTO, JAPAN PHOTO DIARY | TOP TOURIST SPOTS | STEPHANIE SO

If there is one place in Japan or the world that I would visit again, that would be Kyoto. I don't exactly know why but there's something so captivating about the place and its people.

Views by the Kamo River

Hike to the Kiyomizu-dera.

The view from above. Pretty impressive I'd say.

Sunsets in Kyoto- no, Nara to be exact.

Thanks for reading guys!

OSAKA TOP DESTINATION | KUROMON ICHIBA MARKET | STEPHANIE SO

If you are a foodie like me, be sure to visit the Kuromon Ichiba Market ('Osaka's Kitchen') when in Osaka. Its about 2-3 minutes walk from the Nippombashi Station and you'll easily spot it with their big black and red signs. There are plenty of food stalls serving a range of Japanese delights, from fresh sushi to rice bowls, tempura, local fruits and so much more...

Sea urchin/ uni. I know many people are a big fan of this but sadly not me as I sometimes find the taste and texture a little bit too overwhelming.

Bought a few packets of dried mangoes and peach from this dried fruits stall.

Takoyaki in the making.

This Japanese mochi is one of my favourite desserts ever. It's coated with bean powder and is so soft and chewy!

These cute little octopus treats are stuffed with quail eggs inside of them.

Thanks for reading guys!

GUANGZHOU PHOTO + VIDEO DIARY | STEPHANIE SO

School has officially started for me and of course I'm shifting my priorities a little bit. I missed last week's post because you know, I have to take some time off and enjoy my last week of summer. Not to mention that I'm lacking so much creative juices and motivation right now it's actually getting a bit depressing (oh man). Three-hundred-and-something more days until Summer.

For me, Summer is always the perfect excuse/ reason for travelling because 1.) it's kind of like a family tradition to go somewhere during the summer 2.) you can see and learn so much.

I first went to Guangzhou for a very short 3 days, but our schedule was so fully packed- it involved apartment hunting, shopping (not really), eating, seeing architectures, sweating buckets (believe me it was so hot) oh and waking up early- yeah, half-nine is pretty early for a person like me. Eating dim-sum was of course obligatory so we had a few lunches dedicated on those, and being a fashion-y student I had to visit Zaha Hadid's Guangzhou Opera House.

I posted a Travel Diary on my YouTube not long ago, I mean if you're too lazy to scroll down and see my photos you could just press play below ;)
