SPARK #OOTD | STEPHANIE SO

Every revolution begins with a spark.

So a lot of you have been asking. Asking where the hell has your blog gone? have you stopped blogging? what happened?? 

So...I decided to take the old blog down and give it an update/ revamp. After some thinking, I've also decided to take blogging a little bit more seriously, perhaps more than just a 'hobby' or a place that I go to only when I'm free. Whilst I was gone on this space I have been working on photoshoots, editing pictures and writing up blog posts. I've also been traveling these few weeks hence all those pictures on my Instagram @stephanieso!

If you have remembered last year I started YouTube but after all, I really do prefer blogging. It is the same but different in a way- we'll discuss this in a later blog post. Don't get me wrong though, I am still going to post videos on my YouTube channel. Videos will go up every Monday! I really hope you guys will like the update. I just wanted to keep this blog post short, but expect 2 posts from me every week and the videos on Monday! As for the reason behind my blog name and more other information, go to the ABOUT ME page- more explanations there!

ART CENTRAL 2016 | HONG KONG ART MONTH | STEPHANIE SO

Definitely a long overdue post on this blog and my visit to Art Central:

So, let's start with a bit of a life update. Life is ok, good, as usual. I finished my exams and officially graduated from high secondary school. It's been about 2 weeks but I don't think everything has really sunk in. The fact that I have left a place where I spent 5 years studying abroad is a bit strange; I think everything happened a bit too fast in the midst of exams, packing and writing thank you cards/ letters.

Anyways, as I am typing this post I am currently in Osaka, Japan, starting my very first summer holiday trip. I've only been to Japan once and never been to Osaka so this trip is definitely something to remember. I have quite a lot of content prepared and will be on its way to this blog in the coming few weeks! I will be updating this blog more frequently now since it's the Summer holiday so keep your eyes peeled!

Life update checked. Onto another topic.

I've always wanted to visit Art Basel/ Central (just to see what it's about) but they always happened during dates where I was not in Hong Kong. This year, however, I was on time to make it to both of the events so of course, I was very excited. I decided to go to Art Central instead - it was easier to get tickets plus they had plenty of activities going on. Definitely worth a go!

FABRIC AND TRIMMINGS MARKET IN HONG KONG | SHAM SHUI PO | STEPHANIE SO

For everyone who's into sewing, haberdashery, garment making and DIY projects, Sham Shui Po is your go-to place. Not only can you buy yards and yards of fabrics, trimmings and beads, but it is also great if you are on a hunt for vintage clothing, electronics and random bits and pieces. As a Fashion student, I frequent this area often to source for materials I need for my next project! I usually spend a good few hours here, tracking down for the best selection and prices. (depending on how much you're buying, you can sometimes bargain too!)

CHANGING OF THE SEASONS #OOTD | STEPHANIE SO

I've always been scared and somewhat skeptical of changes. Perhaps it's the unknown of what it will bring that I fear of. When I started this blog as a creative outlet 2 years ago, I had no idea that today, I will still be blogging and would love to eventually pursue this full-time (still a long way to go though!). It is something that I love and enjoy passionately (I know this word is overused but anyways) and who knows, perhaps this is something that I will still be doing in the future.

Happy Sunday everyone! Is it just me of this weekend whizzed by (where did all my time go?!!). I never like feeling *too hot* or *too cold*, so during the Winter layering for me is an essential.
